About Empath CIC

A non-profit built around a theory of change.

Empath CIC exists to create real pathways for young people. We believe meaningful change happens when impact work is structured, evidence-led, and rooted in the communities we serve.

Our mission

Safe, inspiring spaces for young people.

Empath CIC is a community organisation that creates safe, inspiring spaces for young people to explore identity, creativity, and opportunity. We design programmes that combine physical movement, digital and creative skills, and cultural learning, helping participants build confidence and transferable skills for the future.

We bridge wellbeing and skill development: empowering young people to strengthen both body and mind while connecting with their cultural roots.

Theory of change

Our approach.

Our work follows a three-phase journey adapted from Dandurand & Heist (2022): an accessible first contact, the building of social, human and psychological capital, and the transfer of those into lasting life-skills and cognitive change.

  1. 01
    Phase 1

Sport, arts or tech — accessible, regular, trust-building. Months 1–3.

  2. 02
    Phase 2

Building social, human and psychological capital through pro-social interactions. Months 4–6.

  3. 03
    Phase 3

Life-skills transfer and cognitive change, branching into four progression pathways. Months 3–12.
